Shop with peace of mind at Notes & Nibs. If you’re not completely satisfied with your order, you’re welcome to return it for an exchange, refund, store credit, or repair, as per the guidelines below and we’ll sort it out as quickly and as simply as possible for you. This policy covers all purchases from Notes & Nibs.
How to Arrange a Return

Proof of Purchase
All returns, refunds, exchanges, or repair requests must include one of the following proof-of-purchase documents:
- Original purchase receipt (sent to your email for online orders); or
- Original return or exchange receipt.
Warranty Claims
If you have a warranty issue, we’ll do our best to ensure your claim is handled efficiently. We have strong relationships with all of our suppliers and will liaise directly with them if needed. Some manufacturers prefer to assess warranty issues themselves, which helps us maintain quality standards. Our aim is always your satisfaction.
Change of Mind
With Proof-of -Purchase
If you change your mind within 30 days of purchase, we’ll happily provide a refund or exchange provided that:
- You return the item within 30 days of purchase; and
- You provide acceptable proof of purchase; and
- The product is in brand-new, re-saleable condition, including:
- Original packaging, including all manuals and accessories; and is
- Unused, undamaged, and in original condition; and
- Factory seals or shrink wrap on all components are unbroken.
In these cases, you’ll need to cover the cost of returning the item to us.
Without Proof-of-Purchase
If you don’t have proof of purchase, we may, at our discretion, offer an exchange for the current value of the item or issue you with a store credit, provided that:
- The item is in re-saleable condition (original tags and packaging, unused, undamaged, and unopened); and
- We can confirm the item was purchased from Notes & Nibs. In these cases, you’ll need to cover the cost of returning the item to us.
Exchange
If you opt for an exchange, we’ll ship your new item once we’ve received your return at our warehouse. A full price shipping fee will apply for redelivery, based on your selected shipping method. In these cases, you’ll need to cover the cost of returning the item to us.
Refunds and Store Credits
If you request a refund, we may provide a store credit, or refund to your original payment method at our discretion. Refunds are processed within 2 business days of receiving your return. Please allow 2–10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank.
For a full order refund, including orders with free shipping, the refund will be the total amount paid less a shipping fee, as the initial delivery shipping has already been paid.
For item refunds where your order included a free shipping or discount offer, if the refund brings your subtotal below the offer’s threshold, the refund amount will be the total paid less a shipping fee and/or any discount you received.
In these cases, you’ll need to cover the cost of returning the item to us.
Return Assessment
All returned items undergo an assessment at our warehouse (or by the manufacturer) to confirm they are the original products supplied and are either faulty or remain in unused, re-saleable condition. Assessment can’t be done via photos. If an item fails the return assessment, you’ll be responsible for return shipping costs. If these costs aren’t paid within 90 days, the product may be donated or disposed of.
Satisfactory Identification
Notes & Nibs will accept the following as ID:
- A current driver’s licence, including learner’s permit with photo; or
- A government-approved Proof of Age card with photo and signature; or
- An Australian or International Passport.
Bonus Items, Gift Cards & Bundled Offers
If your purchase included a gift card, bonus item, or was part of a bundle, these must be returned as well. If not, the value will be deducted from your refund.
Refund Payment Method
At Notes & Nibs’ discretion following assessment based upon these guidelines, refunds will be issued as either store credit or to your original payment method.

Our customers can rest assured that we are bound to, and strictly adhere to, Australian Consumer Law as written into Section 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
